CBCF A Celebration of Diverse, Powerful Women in News Media

 On Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 the Honorary Host Rep. Val Demings held an enlightened conversation with three amazing BIPOC women who have ascended to the highest level of the news media industry.

Background: On Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 the Honorary Host Rep. Val Demings held an enlightened conversation with three amazing BIPOC women who have ascended to the highest level of the news media industry. Among other things, these powerful Sheroes will share their unique perspectives on diversity in the media, struggles they faced along their personal journey to the top, and how they’re leveraging their current power to implement innovative solutions to usher in a new era of diversity in the news industry.

This impactful conversation was held at the Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Legislative Conference. The Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) is CBCF’s leading public policy convening on issues impacting African Americans. ALC 50, was the second Annual Legislative Conference held in a virtual format, to reach, engage, educate, and mobilize an even larger portion of the global Black community.

Challenge: ElevateX™ Agency was hired by the Multicultural Media & Correspondents Association (MMCA) to manage the custom branded graphic design aesthetic for the event. We were also responsible for all social media marketing, email marketing, website landing page development, digital registration, and the overall digital production for the entire event.

Our Solution: The ElevateX™ team graphic designed all of the marketing collateral, flyers, social media promotional cards, and drove public relations promotion with the help of the Elevate Dayton editorial team for the event. We also developed and pushed out branded Mailchimp email marketing campaigns promoting the event to the MMCA’s 6,000+ email subscribers. We also managed the promotion of the event through strategic social media marketing campaigns across MMCA and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
